Andreas Schramm is a pioneer in the power electronics and noise field, helping to bridge the gap between these less accessible genres and the industrial dance scene. He succeeds by mixing harsh, droning tracks with more club-friendly vibes on the same album, producing challenging listening experiences that have proven equally popular at both Maschinenfest and Das Bunker.

Asche's Distorted Disco album was many people's first exposure to power electronics and remains highly regarded. After a long absence, his pair of releases in 2010 and 2011 show that Schramm is still effortlessly blending styles and making a name for himself. Favorites include "Kiss the Whip," "Confusion (Version)," and "Distorted Doom (Remix by Theologian)."
