Yendri's emphasis on mood and atmosphere in the midst of an otherwise simple downtempo beat makes it easy to understand why Nina Cording is a favorite of :wumpscut:'s Rudy Ratzinger. She has a knack for creating a subtly sinister vibe, with her quivering, distant vocals and slowly meandering ambiance laid just under the surface of a pulsing drum beat, and was signed to his Mental Ulcer Forges label as a result.

Yendri's music sounds like it is rooted in the mid-90's chillout and trance scenes, with the bulk of most songs built on a series of synthesizer effects instantly recognizable by anyone who's ever taken in a disco sunrise from the after-party lounge of an Ibiza club. However, Yendri layers just enough on top of it to do something new, and her vocals are consistently top-notch. This mix of influences makes classification difficult, so I refer here to it simply as dark electro.
