Formed from the ashes of alternative rock group Seigmen, the members of Zeromancer have carried on in largely the same spirit, but with a harder, industrial edge. Zeromancer songs are generally uptempo, beat-driven affairs at home on a setlist alongside rockers like KMFDM, Ministry, and Rammstein. Inheriting some of Seigmen's popularity, Zeromancer is a bit more accessible to the mainstream than these bands, however, and although the band and their fanbase might cringe at the comparison, the group reminds one of what Linkin Park might have become if Linkin Park had listened to more metal and less hip-hop.
The band took a break from Zeromancer after the release of 2003's ZZYZX, and actually performed a short reunion tour of Seigmen. A new album is reportedly in the works, however, scheduled for a late 2007 or early 2008 release.
Darktronica favorites are "Split Seconds," "Need You Like A Drug," "Blood Music," and "Something For The Pain."
