After parting ways with Bogart Shwadchuck of Epsilon Minus after the Mark II album, vocalist Jennifer Parkin started Ayria as her new project. While Shaun Frandsen provided the music for the excellent debut Debris, Parkin has since taken on the task of handling the programming herself and only seeking assistance on post-production.

Musically, Ayria doesn't stray too far from Epsilon Minus, giving us eminently danceable club music with Parkin's sultry vocals complementing progressive trance-influenced futurepop melodies. It's all quite catchy and refreshing, if a bit too sugary-sweet on some tracks.

Parkin is currently working on her third full-length Ayria album, Hearts For Bullets, which is being produced by Sebastian Komor of Icon Of Coil and Zombie Girl fame.

Darktronica favorites are "Horrible Dream," "My Device," and "Start Again."
