Dark Electro

Dark electro came about in the early to mid 1990s to describe darkly atmospheric bands such as yelworC and Arcana Obscura who project sinister vocals and samples over haunting ambient soundscapes. However, here it is also used as somewhat of a catch-all for artists who either don't fit very well into any other genre classification (see Apologizers), or who produce music outside of the darktronica spectrum but are nonetheless of interest to the community (for instance, Bogart Shwadchuck, formerly of Epsilon Minus).
